JOB DESCRIPTION

General management responsibilities:

Resource scheduling and tracking by the project owner on a project by project basis.

Reporting on project profitability with reference to the resource schedule.

Agreeing cash flow for agreed fee with the Client and managing issue of invoices in line with same.

Continuous implementation and improvement of the Quality Management System

Establish the schedule of Project Management Services to be provided in consultation with the Project

Director and in line with the fee proposal and associated resourcing chart for the project.

B. Carry out the duties and responsibilities of scope of services as per the agreed schedule of services.

Establish the Client’s business goals and project objectives and communicate to the wider project team

Based on the business goals and project objectives ensure a clearly defined client brief is developed and communicated to the relevant parties

Ensure the scope of services is established and agreed with the client and communicated Project Team

To prepare for the client’s approval, the overall project schedule and budget covering site acquisition, investigations, planning, pre-design and design, construction and handover etc.

To ensure appropriate parties are equipped with all other project related information; designs, specifications, project objectives and priorities

H. To develop and implement appropriate Key Project Indicators (KPIs), in conjunction with the Project Director

Provide a Project Execution Plan to establish appropriate project management and communication structures for control of the project. This will include:

Project health, safety and environmental plan

Clear project roles and responsibilities, including the agreed client’s role and responsibilities

Scope management

Quality management

Project controls

Procedures for clear and efficient communication

People reporting and progress reporting structures

To run/assist in the running of the selection process for the Professional and Design teams, as well as the negotiation of terms and conditions of engagement

To make firm recommendations on team selection to the Project Director and Client

Identification of design deliverables, scope of services and associated schedule

To act as the main liaison with the Professional and Design teams

Ensure the design consultants meet the requirements (deliverables and performance levels) of their professional appointments.

To assume overall responsibility for establishing cost and monitoring systems and for tracking financial progress in liaison with the Client’s independent financial advisor [QS]
