An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as a Maintenance Technician for our Sewage Pumping Stations. This role will be based from our Tolgus Depot in Redruth.

What will you be doing?

As a Maintenance Technician working across our Sewage Pumping Stations, you will carry out reactive and planned work as scheduled to deliver the day to day operation and maintenance of our sites. You'll provide services of the highest quality and quantity, in a sustainable manner that meets the required internal and external customer service standards, whilst protecting the environment.

The Maintenance Technician will carry out on site monitoring to ensure effective site operation and respond effectively to site conditions. You'll store and Handle chemicals in accordance with COSHH, QMS Procedures and relevant Health and Safety standards.

You will also carry out first line maintenance and calibration on instruments and mechanical equipment in order to ensure accuracy and reliability. Additionally, you will carry out grass-cutting, weed-killing and general maintenance in order to maintain site conditions.

A flexible working pattern is in operation which includes undertaking standby and callouts and working evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

What do you need?

 *Previous experience of operating and maintaining complex processes and working with modern technology *Proven experience of working with computers and software packages *Have the ability to problem solve and fault find *Good communication skills, both oral and written *Ability to prioritise work effectively on a daily basis *A full UK Driving License *Previous experience of operating Sewage Treatment Works and an NVQ 2 qualification in Wastewater operations would be beneficial

In return for your hard work as our Maintenance Technician, we can offer a starting salary of £20,728 per annum dependent on skills and experience + a working pattern supplement (Progressing to £27,122 per annum based on Wastewater Progression Scheme).
