Ricardo Energy & Environment has an exciting opportunity to join our business energy efficiency team who deliver the Energy Efficiency Business Support Service. Reporting through our Sustainability division, the team works to support businesses to embed energy efficiency through energy savings and utilisation of renewable technologies.

Key accountabilities:

The candidate will be responsible for supporting the provision of energy efficiency support to businesses, from initial engagement, facilitating the delivery of technical advice by our energy efficiency specialists, through to overseeing the provision of final reports and the delivery of implementation support. The candidate can also progress to work on a range of other exciting projects across the breadth of Ricardo Energy & Environment.

Initially offfered on a 6 month Fixed term contract, the salary range reflects the fact that we may recruit a junior or more senior person.

The successful candidate will:

* Work closely with a team of business energy efficiency specialists to support the uptake and delivery of on-site energy efficiency and renewable measures.
* Promote the benefits of energy efficiency to businesses and influence and support them to implement improvements.
* Scope and oversee the delivery of projects while managing client relationships.
* Deliver front-line business advice with a particular focus on overcoming barriers to the implementation of energy efficient solutions.
* Quality check deliverables, outputs and reports related to energy efficiency and sustainability.
* Present on energy efficiency and renewable topics at training events.
* Provide initial telephone support on energy efficiency and renewable technologies.
* Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and build relationships internally and externally.

Key competencies and experience:

* Ideally, at least two years of professional experience supporting businesses to enhance their energy efficiency and sustainability.
* Undergraduate degree (2.1 or above) which includes energy efficiency and/or renewables.
* Demonstrable knowledge of energy efficiency opportunities and renewables within businesses, with the confidence to discuss the opportunities available to businesses and the ability to translate this into technical support.
* Stakeholder engagement experience including businesses, business support organisations, public sector organisations and voluntary sector organisations.
* Ability to write clear, concise and accurate technical reports.
* Able to develop and deliver business improvement projects in the areas of energy efficiency and renewables:
* Influencing key decision makers to take action,
* Case load management,
* Project delivery, including liaison with specialist sub-contractors,
* Able to interpret complex issues and data, and identify solutions quickly,
* Accurate and appropriate selection, presentation and promotion of information.
