EBEC, Europe’s largest Bioenergy event will be held at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry on 08, 09 and 10 October 2009.

This year, the REA is teaming up with the event’s organisers and will host its annual bioenergy conference at the show.  This will be the definitive bioenergy conference of the year.  The conference will cover four streams – biomass, biogas power generation, biomass heat and biofuels– and will be held over two days.

In addition to the conference, there will be over 150 stands exhibiting the latest technologies relating to the bioenergy industry.  There will also be free-to-attend workshops held throughout the event covering each of the bioenergy areas, as well as a truly inspirational study tour to a renewable fuel producer and school where the fuel is used as the main power source for heat and electricity. There is also a biodiesel manufacturing plant at the
farm.

Many of the exhibitors and attendees will have job vacancies and The Daily Telegraph will be hosting a stand promoting green jobs at the Expo.

With bioenergy now firmly on the Government’s agenda following the announcement of their low carbon transition plan this summer, the industry is set to become one of the major growth industries and investment opportunities in Britain.
