We are a Local Authority, north of Dublin City, with offices at Swords and Blanchardstown. We serve a geographical location of 448. sq km which spans rural, coastal, urban and suburban communities and is home to several key elements of national and regional infastructure, including Dublin Airport

In 2019, Fingal County Council is celebrating its 25th anniversary having been established in 1994 following the break-up of Dublin County Council into three separate local authorities.

Fingal has a thriving population of 296,214 which, according to the 2016 Census figures, is an increase of 8.1% since the last count. We also have the lowest average age in Ireland and also one of the most ethnically and culturally diverse counties.

The Council is responsible for the social, economic, infrastructural and cultural development of the county of Fingal. We provide a wide range of services to our citizens including community and leisure facilities, housing, planning, environmental services, maintenance, water, transportation routes, and business support to name a few.

We are a dynamic and proactive local authority, rising to the challenges we face and finding new ways to ensure that Fingal is the place of choice in Ireland to live, work, visit and do business in.
