Quoceant are a small but growing, independent engineering consultancy based in Edinburgh. We specialise in marine energy and work on novel and inventive technology development for clients and inhouse. Our projects range from concept design to detailed engineering, support for build, qualification testing and supporting marine operations. Our clients include a range of commercial companies operating in the tidal, wave and offshore wind and wider green energy sector, and from the public and academic sectors.

We go beyond the typical consultancy service with our fresh informed approach to cross-discipline innovation, detailed design & analysis, and cost-effective implementation.

Our current and past projects are varied and interesting and include:

• Design and qualification testing of a subsea quick connection system for use in marine energy,
• Numerical modelling for an innovative pumped thermal energy storage system,
• Engineering support for fixed offshore wind,
• Design and engineering support to leading wave and tidal energy developers,
• Development of novel hydraulic power take-off system for marine energy use.
