Company Profile

The Ecology Foundation is a private climate change company established in 2007 to help businesses recognise the significant role they have to play in combating climate change. The Ecology Foundation consists of a team of engineers, physicist, business analysts, environment scientists and entrepreneurs operating in three thematic areas:
• Working with large Irish companies to reduce their carbon and broader environmental impact of their operations. We use a model of engagement that stresses the urgency of climate change and a thorough understanding of the risks facing us in a resource constrained world.

• The Ecology Foundation has a number of early stage Greentech ventures both in Ireland and overseas in the areas of mobility, energy and IT. Each business is being developed as a stand-alone project under the guidance of The Ecology Foundation.

• Interfacing with business, media and academic institutions to inform the debate along a scientific, research-based path and push the issue of Climate Change up the social, political and business agendas. Our activities in this area have included lectures series and the promotion of cycle-to-work schemes.
