Techno-economic analyst required for a leading renewable research company’s Glasgow office with flexible working. Joining the research & innovation team and reporting to the head of insights, the focus of the role is to win future project funding by maintaining high quality financial modelling for the successful delivery of financial and economic analysis projects. This will entail proactive development of detailed techno-economic modelling underpinning robust modelling structures & assumptions and delivering both internal and external projects. A strong understanding of the offshore renewables industry would be highly beneficial.

Package: �33k-42k negotiable, depending on experience. Double match pension (5% personal contribution will be matched at 10%), bonus, healthcare

Responsibilities:

* Develop methods to constantly improve delivery of projects
* Produce analysis to improve understanding of offshore renewables economics
* Scope requirements for detailed techno-economic modelling and determine action plan to select and implement appropriate detailed assumptions and model structures
* Identify and ensure balance between consistent linked models and requirement for flexibility and specific function in bespoke models
* Frequently update financial and relevant databases for openly available data and data generated by company projects whilst maintaining client confidentiality
* Identify and support opportunities for production of analysis and insights publications on finance and related themes and collaboration projects
* Comprehension of financial analysis support needed within the organisation
* Identify new data sources (contacts, datasets & organisations)
* Develop new detailed models

Skills and experience:

* Degree or equivalent in technical, mathematical or similar relevant discipline
* Demonstrable experience in technical operating environment and in a management, strategic consultancy or academic environment
* Strong financial & economic modelling skillset
* Highly competent using MS Excel & other analytical tools
* Knowledge and experience of renewable energy with financial background
