Senior or Principal Net Zero / Corporate GHG Consultant

Lewis Davey is looking to speak with both Senior and Principal consultants across net zero and corporate GHG. An opportunity to join a smart energy and sustainability team, working across local authorities, universities, masterplan developers to hotel chains, assisting them to in shaping their approach to decarbonisation and a net zero future. Lewis Davey are keen to reach professionals to lead GHG inventories for a wide range of client segments, focussed primarily within, but not limited to, the construction industry.



  • Net zero strategy and roadmap development including alignment to relevant standards e.g., Science Based Targets.
  • Carbon accounting, compliance, and measurement techniques and calculation methods for scopes 1-3, including an in-depth understanding of scope 3 emissions sources and how to mitigate them.
  • Hosting stakeholder engagement workshops and working with client teams to gain a deep understanding of client business operations and identifying levers for action
  • Effective data management including setting up and maintaining project databases and project evidence trackers
  • Producing high-quality reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
  • Attending site visits to review progress against various sustainability targets.
  • Reviewing the performance of designated projects on a monthly basis and updating the team’s project tracker with progress information.
  • Assisting in preparing bids and proposals for new work.
  • Engaging with skills networks to exchange best practice and processes.
  • Arrange and attend meetings, take minutes and distribute actions.
  • Attending and contributing to team meetings.


What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experienced project leader experience in a similar role.
  • Ambitious, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.
  • Emerging business development and sales skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the construction industry and built environment.
  • Ability to manage projects.
  • Client relationship management skills.
  • Proven track record of project delivery.


Additional attributes we are keen to hear about

  • Hold a relevant degree, BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) or equivalent/higher.
  • Understanding of carbon offsetting mechanisms and carbon credit schemes.
  • Ability to convey complex datasets and analyses in easy-to-understand infographics.
  • Experience in developing international organisation and regional GHG inventories and roadmaps.
  • Life-cycle cost modelling capabilities including sensitivity analysis and future scenario modelling.
  • Capability to lead a team and develop new products in an ever-expanding market.
  • Graphic design capabilities including the ability to use software packages such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and BlueBeam.
  • Ability to develop digital toolkits for use internally and by clients
