About the business:

A value-driven consultancy are searching for Consultants to join their Ecology & Biodiversity team. You would help deliver projects across habitat strategy and mitigation, green infrastructure and natural capital.

They are a small but well established team, where you can feel like a name rather than a number in a supportive environment, whilst given the freedom and responsibility to develop your Ecological and Biodiversity skills.

They only tender for projects that are socially driven / beneficial, and have completed developments of varying scales. From loft gardens to whole community biodiversity strategies, they aim to encompass both social value and the natural environment.

This position is based out of their North West office, but they have a selection of offices around the UK (London, Bristol, Sheffield).

They are needing to grow their Team due to continued growth, and they already have a selection of projects lined up for next year due to the success of the business.

They offer fantastic flexibility around home working and condensed hours as well as a generous salary package.

About the job:

* Good knowledge of and confidence undertaking baseline habitat survey, assessment and reporting
* Writing of technical reports ready for review by your colleagues, such as ecological constraints reports, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, and protected species reports
* Working alongside subject matter experts within the Team along with the opportunity to work autonomously.

About you:

* Graduate level education in a relevant subject
* Previous ecology related experience
* Good working knowledge of ecology, legislation, and survey techniques, including protected species surveys and mitigation

* Excellent written communication skills and be able to produce accurate technical reports to a professional standard
* A full driving licence, access to your own vehicle
