One of the UK’s leading multi-disciplinary environmental consultancies is looking for an experienced Ecological or Environmental Clerk of Works to support the team across a range of projects, primarily focussing on environmental constraint assessment and management for construction or linear construction projects.
The Role
Responsibilities of a Principal ECoW will focus on the assessment, management and monitoring of various environmental and ecological constraints that arise during construction. Including, but not limited to, ground nesting birds, badger setts, waste, COSHH, water environment and veteran trees. Your location will dictate the exact projects that are engaged, with opportunities in Scotland, East Anglia / Midlands, or London all currently available. The role is a full-time / hybrid opportunity; however, the company is committed to ensuring strong work life balance for all employees, and therefore can offer other flexible working options (no less than 30 hours per week) for those that need.
Qualifications/Requirements
Essential:
* 5 years’ ECoW experience
* Experience of ECoW on bats, nesting birds, COSHH, waste management etc
* Linear consturction or construction project experience.
* Project management experience must be demonstrable.
* Driver’s license (4x4 driver training desirable)
* CSCS card
Desirable:
* Protected species licenses (bat and water vole)
* Experience working on Private Water Supplies
* Stone-curlew knowledge
