Lewis Davey is looking to speak with Business Advisory professionals who can Head up the UK. We are working with a fast-growing advisory start-up backed by their international firm, you will enable and drive Business Advisory’s vision, strategy and growth in the UK region. Your primary purpose is to build a business which will ultimately match the footprint of the firm in UK.

Within the UK region you will be required to develop go-to-market strategies, build upon the existing operating platform and ensure the successful growth of Business Advisory to deliver the international strategy. Your leadership will be essential in managing and making a significant contribution to sales across the region. You will build trusted relationships with senior leaders in the UK region, to provide the foundation upon which your  advisory team can engage with partners and lawyers and work collaboratively with clients of the firm.

We are looking for this person to steer the UK business through its scale-up phase, building a track record of successful client engagements, revenue growth and an organisational culture matching that of the international directive. Therefore, the successful candidate will ensure exceptional collaboration across your team and more broadly into the rest of the international Business Advisory business.

Role / Key areas of responsibility:

Strategic Leadership:

-          Support the broader organisational vision and strategy in UK.

-          Support and implement organisational strategies in UK, to scale business operations, ensuring substantial year on-year growth.

-          Collaborate with UK leadership to align the business's strategic goals with broader objectives, creating mutually beneficial outcomes.

Support expansion efforts into new service areas, sectors, and/or geographical markets within the UK region, complementing our client’s footprint.


Sales and Relationship Management:

-          Lead, manage and contribute strongly to sales across the region.

-          Maintain and deepen high-level relationships with senior leaders and partners within the business to ensure a collaborative business approach.

-          Engage directly with clients, fostering strategic partnerships and enduring valuable relationships.

-          Develop and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, industry leaders, and decision-makers to promote.

-          Business Advisory's market presence in UK and effectively represent the brand.

Operational Excellence:

-          Oversee daily operations in UK, ensuring delivery of the highest quality advisory services that uphold reputation.

-          Drive organisational effectiveness by promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the UK region.

-          Ensure financial sustainability and health, including budgeting, forecasting, and securing resources for future growth initiatives.

Team Development and Culture:

-          Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing regional team, fostering a culture of empowerment, innovation, and inclusivity.

-          Oversee and support talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies, ensuring alignment with the international strategic goals and culture.

-          Champion a positive, dynamic company culture aligned with the values and standards of both Business Advisory and the organisation.

What you will need to succeed

-          Extensive experience: Proven track record of senior leadership experience in the management consulting industry. Experience in navigating businesses through scale-up phases is essential.

-          Relationship Mastery: Demonstrable ability to build and maintain strong relationships and trust with C-suite executives, senior legal professionals, and key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

-          Track record of generating work both individually and as part of a team in a complex sales system

-          Experience of developing, managing and successfully delivering regional sales targets

-          Strategy Execution: Exceptional ability to deliver to a broader corporate strategy and direction, understanding the nuances of the consulting and legal industries, as well as broader market dynamics.

-          Operational and Commercial Acumen: Strong background in overseeing business operations, with specific skills in financial management, resource allocation, and organisational scaling.

-          Leadership: strong leadership with the ability to inspire, lead, and develop teams, creating an environment that attracts and retains top talent. Conscientious and comfortable to ‘live’ the values every day.

-          Demonstrated success in leading a business through change and growth phases.

-          Communication and Influence: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and champion the company’s vision.

-          Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence decision-making at the highest levels.

-          Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, demonstrating resilience and the capacity to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
