Join an Infrastructure Division as a Design Engineer with 3+ years of experience in the water/wastewater sector. The role encompasses disciplines such as Civil, Process, or MEICA. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for clients such as Irish Water. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and ambitious team with excellent career prospects and potential international opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and delivery of water and wastewater schemes across various project stages, from feasibility to detailed design, contract document preparation, and construction administration.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of project deliverables and contractual requirements.
  • Report to and communicate with the Project Manager throughout project execution, taking ownership of delegated tasks and duties.
  • Support the Project Manager in managing and monitoring project delivery within defined budget and program requirements.
  • Prepare designs, technical specifications, and contract documents.
  • Write project reports.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in the design and delivery of water/wastewater schemes.
  • Knowledge of different contract types (FIDIC, NEC, Public Works, Irish Water).
  • Understanding of safety and health regulations in the design process.
  • Demonstrable ability to work as a team member reporting to senior staff.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team environment or independently to achieve project goals.
  • Membership of, or eligibility to join, Engineers Ireland.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Attention to detail and ability to comply with Quality Assurance Management Systems is essential.
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking, and flexible.
  • Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
