Our client, a leading nature conservation charity, are looking for a new Ecologist for the development phase of an exciting project.

Location: West Sedgemoor, TA10 

Salary: £30,940 - £33,215 per annum 

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week 

Contract: 22-month contract. Estimated start from 1st April 2024. Fixed term to 31st January 2026. Possibility for extension and renewal. 

Benefits: Pension, Life Assurance, 26 days annual leave

About the Role

You will work closely with land manager partners, the project team and a range of consultants to design and test new opportunities for land use change for nature recovery.

You will be part of their mission to inspire and empower people to help create a fully sustainable world where nature and all people thrive.

What they need from you

• Extensive scientific knowledge of ecology and habitat management, natural history and ecological processes.

• Ability to undertake habitat and species surveys. 

• Ability to work in a partnership.

• Ability to communicate effectively and influence others to change their land management practices.

• Ability to contribute to building collaborative, motivated, resilient, inclusive teams.

• Commitment to the charity's Values and equity, diversity and inclusion.

• Relevant degree, e.g. BSc or UK equivalent
