Job Summary
As a Principal Electrical/ICA Engineer you will work within our growing Water consulting team and will be involved in various design stages of water and wastewater utility projects including feasibility, preliminary and detailed design and construction support. 

Job Duties
Project management of water and wastewater utilities projects including planning, control and monitoring from feasibility to detailed design phase.
Lead the delivery of electrical and ICA engineering inputs to water and wastewater utilities design including potable water production and distribution, waste water treatment and distribution, sludge treatment and pumping systems. 
Take responsibility for the technical delivery of outline and detailed electrical and ICA design, preparing schedules, drawings and specifications and assisting with project delivery including support for the full project cycle, work closely with site team to provide installation and commissioning support.
Be responsible for achieving appropriate quality standards including technical checking of work,
Multi-level liaisons with clients, government authorities, contractors, suppliers.
Preparation of project budget & programme with the ability to assess and determine project EICA deliverables (build up scope for pricing).
Produce project reports for client and internal reporting requirements.
Represent AECOM in technical meetings with our various clients and work with engineers from other disciplines, ensuring an appropriate integrated solution.
Work closely with the supply chain and performing technical bid analysis of designs prepared by others.
Organise and implement site surveys and produce technical feasibility reports.
Lead a small team of electrical engineers and technicians with line manager responsibilities including mentoring of Junior/Graduate Engineers and technicians to promote their technical and professional development.

Minimum Requirements
 To be successful in this role we would like to hear from candidates with the following;
 You will hold a BSc, BEng, MEng or MSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 
You will be Chartered member of the IET (or close to achieving chartership)
Excellent report writing, communication and teamwork skills.
Confidence and experience of meeting with internal and external clients and of producing proposals.
Willingness to travel to meet the needs of specific projects is desirable
Experience of design at all stages from concept to commissioning in water industry.
Analytical and problem solving, attention to detail and creative thinking.
Competent user of Microsoft office suite.
Good level of commercial awareness.

Specific Skills Required : 
 Have experience of MCC, PLC/SCADA and instrumentation specification and design,
Have experience in HAZOP, HAZID, DSEAR and SWIFT processes,
Have experience of delivering H&S by design, compliance to CDM regulations, knowledge of the relevant Ex standard, requirements of DSEAR/ATEX compliance,

Preferred Qualifications
 Previous experience in Water Engineering
Experience in design and build projects
Microsoft project experience will be beneficial
CSCS card holder.
