In late 2009, TerraCycle began its European operations in the UK, beginning with two waste streams and has since grown to over 50 collection programmes across 12 European markets with over 100,000 consumer locations. TerraCycle has partnered with Suez, one of the largest resource management companies in the world, to develop innovative and differentiating recycling solutions:

TerraCycle is currently looking to hire experienced Operations Manager for fixed term (12 months) Maternity cover starting in November 2018 who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of TerraCycle in Europe, including all aspects linked to existing supply chain partners, logistics, warehouses and office maintenance.

This is a unique role for a resourceful, driven individual looking for an exceptional opportunity in the sustainability field. 

The position is based in Perivale, West London and will report to and work closely with the European General Manager and the Head of Material Solutions, as well as the Global VP of Operation both (based in our US office).

Role and Responsibilities 

• Management of European operations budget
• Tracking and reporting for various purposes including financial management, vendor management, inventory management and waste legislation
• Ensure smooth running of TerraCycle’s existing supply chain, including vendor management across warehouses, logistics and processing partners
• Ensuring appropriate processes and procedures are in place and followed for the ongoing management of TerraCycle Europe operations
• Oversee all freight movements and ensure regulatory compliance is met at all times
• Working with waste legislation – ensuring regulatory compliance, answering regulatory queries
• Management of product orders and sales quotations
• Ensure smooth running of TerraCycle’s local office
• Management of an operation and logistics executive 
• Other administrative support from time to time


• Operations Management experience working in the field including:
o Financial Reporting (experience with SAP is a plus)
o Regulations/legislation 
o Logistics and Transportation
o Vendor onboarding and management
• Management of an Operations Executive
• Fluent in English with good communication skills (both spoken and written)
• Other European language is a plus 
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Fluency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• High energy team player
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment and juggle multiple responsibilities amidst tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Ability to work autonomously
• A demonstrated interest in sustainable/green business.


• 12 months fixed contract 
• Salary depending on experience
• 25 Paid Holiday Days
• Company Pension contribution up to 3% of salary
• Start: November 2018
