About the role:

We are looking for an individual to assist with the coordination and delivery of our Energy Technology List. This comprehensive list details energy efficient products, including plant and machinery that meet certain set criteria to help businesses invest in energy-saving products.

This role would suit someone with previous experience of delivering promotional or communications campaigns across multiple channels and experience of working directly with customers. 

Someone who understands the basic principles of climate change and has enthusiasm for resource efficiency, low carbon and sustainability projects and energy efficient technologies.

The Carbon Trust's mission is to accelerate the move to a sustainable, low carbon economy. We are independent experts on carbon reduction and resource efficiency, who reinvest surpluses from group commercial activities into our mission. 

The Carbon Trust provides innovative advice to governments and businesses around the world to support the global transition to a low carbon economy. We work closely with decision makers and implementers in key institutions in the UK and across multiple emerging and developing countries on low-carbon finance, programmes, policy and technology.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate the development of the ETL promotional awareness plan
• Write content for the website, newsletters and ETL presentations and publications, including case studies
• Deliver webinars, events and support ETL team visits to promote the scheme
• Undertake regular analysis of the impact of ETL promotion and suggest ideas for increasing the reach and impact of the programme
• Provide support on other ETL scheme activity, e.g. the annual technology and product update process, collation of activity reports, maintaining brand compliance and a current list of products.

Key skills we are looking for:

• Strong oral communication skills, with experience of communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Proven ability to write engaging and accurate promotional materials and news items
• Ability to plan and deliver work activity, working well with other content providers to contribute items to deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships and influence decision-making
• Ability to think and work independently, taking the initiative and ‘ownership’ of tasks, having strong organisational and time management skills
• Strong proficiency in MS Office suite of tools. Good quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as commercial skills:
      o proven ability to use MS Excel for analysis
      o experience in using MS PowerPoint and Word for communication and report writing
• Experience in database and statistical packages would be an advantage
• Good existing knowledge of the key climate change-related topics, including low-carbon energy transition and global climate finance.

Salary & Benefits: 

We offer a competitive salary and a performance based bonus. Our hours are 37.5 per week with 28 days paid holiday plus bank holidays and a generous pension scheme.
