We are working with a real estate and infrastructure leader who are looking to recruit a principal geotechnical engineer to work in their well-established civil engineering offices in East Sussex our South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Principal Geotechnical Engineer looking to lead on major engineering, infrastructure and tunnelling projects.

Role & Company:

As a Principal Geotechnical engineer within this prominent project design team, you will be both taking technical ownership for geotechnical design solutions as well as overseeing the work of your team members comprised of senior engineers, engineers and graduates. You will be both managing projects as well as supporting graduate engineers. The role includes an exciting portfolio working on highways, rail and other infrastructure schemes throughout various stages of the project lifecycle.

What do you need?

The successful Principal Geotechnical Engineering will have;

* A Degree in civil engineering
* A MSc in geotechnical engineering or similar.
* A Chartered Engineer through the Institution of Civil Engineers.
* Significant relevant postgraduate experience with a consultant and / or contractor.
* Knowledge and detailed understanding of geotechnical analytical and design techniques for foundations, deep excavations, retaining structures and slopes, including soil-structure interaction and numerical modelling (2D and 3D).
* Experience of using relevant design codes, including EC7.
* Full UK driving licence.
