Unique opportunity to join a small but growing independent consultancy with an excellent reputation in the Oil and Gas market. This role is part office and part client based. You will spend 2 to 3 days a week at the client office in Guildford and the rest of the week either at my client’s office or homeworking.

You will be working on range of key projects, mostly focused on UK operations including offshore drilling. You will have the opportunity to progress quickly within the company and become a key member of the team as the business grows.

My client is a niche consultancy offering Health, Safety and Environmental management services to clients in the industry. They provide a range of HSE services to both the UK and international oil and gas operators. The key to their success is their personal approach and commitment to understanding the individual needs of clients.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and keen to be part of the development of a dynamic and growing business.

Preferred Experience
• Bachelors degree (essential) and Masters degree (desirable) in a science related discipline
• Technical knowledge/experience of HSE Management Systems
• UKCS permitting
• Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs)
• Oil spill contingency planning and emergency response support
• Chemical Hazard Assessments
• UKCS permitting and consents support (including an in‐depth knowledge of the DECC UK
• Energy Portal)
• HSE Auditing
• Responsibilities/Accountabilities

In addition, it would be preferable if the candidate held a valid BOSIET certificate or a relevant auditing qualification.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to work independently for the majority of the time with minimum supervision
• Ability to interpret and analyse data effectively
• Ability to manage project budgets effectively
• First class communication and organisation skills
• Strong attention to detail at all times
• Enthusiasm for mentoring and building knowledge and skills
• Familiarity with industry standards and UKCS Oil and Gas Operators
