Project Engineer – Offshore Wind

Want to get caught up in a spin on offshore wind projects?

You could provide project engineering services at various phases of design, construction, commissioning or operation.

Do you want to see your projects flourish and deliver the complete engineering solution?

You could facilitate project engineering services and have project team management responsibility as appropriate. Manage the delivery, personnel, quality, programme, budget and income at a project level.

Your broad, high level, engineering knowledge covering all aspects of offshore wind farm design and operation will allow you to coordinate the input of the necessary engineering and technical support needed to deliver services.

This could include:

* Proactively identify engineering issues and risks to be addressed.
* Produce Design Plans.
* Produce calculations and reports.
* Review project or package schedules to identify and plan engineering input.
* Monitor engineering progress.
* Identify and implement areas for process improvement.
* Co-ordinate engineering activities across a range of packages within quality standards.
* Manage interfaces

You will have a natural flair for dealing with complex engineering projects, reacting positively to challenges and have a strategic approach to problem solving. Use your knowledge of the techno-economic issues and how they are addressed, by offshore wind projects as they progress from consent to construction and in to operation.

Responsible for preparing, issuing and evaluating tender packages for sub consultants and contractors. Managing workload of internal and external multi-disciplinary project teams to meet demanding timescales on simultaneous projects. Using your excellent communication skills, you will manage expectations, present, write reports and communicate effectively with clients, contractors and consultants.

You will appreciate the importance of design control and document management / governance. You will have good knowledge of construction design & management (CDM) and health and safety regulations within the offshore environment.
