We now have an exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as an Assistant Recovery and Treatment Manager for our team covering Totnes and Brokenbury.

The Role

The Assistant Recovery and Treatment Manager will help manage the performance, training & development of the Waste Water Service Field Delivery Team engaged in the day to day operation and maintenance of the Waste Water Treatment and Pump Station assets within the area.

This will include the development and optimisation of working arrangements, performance measures and skilling opportunities in addition to supporting the Recovery and Treatment Operations Manager in the delivery of the key outcomes and business targets within the operational area. Responsibilities include:

 *Support the management the operation of the Treatment Works and associated assets to achieve the required performance to achieve Company targets, i.e. CHP, Income, Energy, Chemicals, Compliance, HACCP *Ensure team adhere to the schedules, business rules and procedures and liaise effectively with the Field Support Centres (FSCs) and Maintenance team to ensure asset operability is achieved *Manage staff resources to balance resource against demand with due regard for key calendar events of public holiday periods in addition to individual operator circumstances and requests. *Ensure work is carried out in a satisfactory and timely manner and conduct regular audits of work quality with the support of the Wholesale WWS Recovery and Treatment Operations Manager where required. *Ensure all field delivery personnel are suitably equipped with the correct materials and equipment to discharge their responsibilities to include provision of transport, PPE and equipment. *Support the area Operations team through compliance with budget for operation and maintenance activities. *Responsible for ensuring the field team adhere to Health Safety requirements and hazards identified are reviewed and actioned in accordance with company H&S policy and process. *Ensure the welfare of the field team is assessed and maintained at all times, particularly during event or incident including driver's hours. *Support the Wholesale WWS Recovery and Treatment Operations Manager in the promotion of capital bids for asset improvement and repairs to the Engineering and Asset Management teams. *Work with the Catchment Pilot and Maintenance and FSC Manager to pre-empt events or failures and support effective planning through collaborative working with the FSC team. *Deputise for the Wholesale WWS Recovery and Treatment Operations Manager at meetings with internal / external customers or other external bodies

The Ideal Assistant Recovery and Treatment Manager:

 *Proven experience of working in either a customer service or commercial delivery team *Experience in waste water processes and / or sewerage networks *Ability to lead a high performing team in order to achieve optimum performance within a budget *Ability to participate in standby and weekend working rotation *Preferably educated to A Level standard, minimum GCSE in Mathematics and English and a science subject *Able to travel around the work area using company vehicle *Full UK Drivers Licence
