As an  Ecologist, you will be working on a wide range of projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate field survey experience in one or more of the following: terrestrial/aquatic habitat appraisal, badger, bat, otter, fish and/or bird surveys. A working knowledge of GIS is desirable

Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the national team of ecologists working on a variety of projects.
  • Survey logistic planning.
  • Ecological surveying, biological data collection and data interpretation.
  • Producing quality assured ecology deliverables.
  • Identifying health and safety hazards of specific projects, demonstrating a commitment to your own health and safety and to those around you.
  • Supporting the engineering and technical teams in project delivery.
  •  An input to bidding opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree qualification in a related discipline.
  • Experience of ecological survey techniques.
  • Ecology field survey experience.
  • Knowledge of EU and Irish legislation and policy.
  • Capable of organising and delivering field surveys.
  • Capable of managing a challenging workload subject to change at short notice.
  • Experience of Ecological Impact Assessment and Appropriate Assessments.
  • Confident with proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to produce clear reports and presentations.
  • Full current Irish driving licence.
