Apprentice Maintenance Technician – Electrical - Newhouse, Motherwell

As our new Electrical Apprentice Maintenance Technician, you'll assist with delivering the Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules as defined by the site maintenance plans, working to a high standard and in a cost-effective manner, you'll also assist with planning, organising and undertaking corrective and reactive work and be responsible for delivering improvement projects leading to increased plant reliability and cost reduction.

Health and safety is front and centre of everything we do at Viridor, therefore part of the Apprentice Maintenance Technician role will also be to carry out risk assessment and method statements to ensure activities are completed in a safe manner at all times whilst also achieving efficient operation, where targets are achieved safely, economically and within environmental limits of the plant whilst also ensuring that electrical repairs and maintenance work is carried out with the highest regard for safety.

With a positive can-do attitude, a willingness to learn and demonstrable commitment to the Apprenticeship Scheme, we will provide full support and training to become a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician.

The ideal Apprentice Maintenance Technician – Electrical:

We're looking for someone who has an interest in engineering, a minimum of five GCSE's (Grade C/5 or above) including Maths, English and Science. The successful person will also demonstrate a good standard of Microsoft Office, have strong problem solving, team working and organisational skills, able to work to deadlines and is highly self-motivated.
