Purpose

The Marketing and Communications team are key to supporting delivery of marketing, business development and customer projects. As part of the work we provide to internal and external customers we require high-quality design and artwork to be produced.

Due to growing demand for our design services, we are looking to hire a Junior Designer who will work closely with our Head of Design, Technical Editor and Proofreader and our experienced senior marketing professionals.

This is an opportunity to use and further develop your graphic skills and experience to make your mark in a rewarding environment. You will join a high-energy team where you will get to work across a wide range of environmentally focused projects for both in-house and for high-profile external clients.

We will provide you with training on our in-house processes and approaches, as well as helping you develop your existing design skills and capability.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and layout of marketing collateral, such as; brochures, data sheets, flyers and posters
* Design of digital assets for use in deliverables, such as; social media posts, responsive email campaigns and web
* Design of exhibition equipment such as pull up banners and pop up banners
* Prepare design materials for distribution to customers or sending to print
* To prepare a briefing document of (internal and external) customer requirements, ensuring to capture key information
* To excite and inspire colleagues and clients around you
* To complete all work to agreed time, budget and quality targets
* Handling projects from initial stages right the way through to finished artwork
* Supporting the Head of Design with a range of additional design related activities
* Successful candidates will have
* A high level of creativity
* Highly competent with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
* A proactive, organised approach and pride in consistently delivering high quality design
* Strong communication skills – both verbal and written communication skills (in English)
* A flexible, resilient and enthusiastic approach to all aspects of work
* The ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative, as well as engage well as part of a team
* Highly organised and good attention to detail
* Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
* Strong computer literacy – especially in Office

You will work closely with other team members from across the company and liaise with outside contractors on a regular basis. Instructions and requirements should always be clear, concise and logged in case of any errors/misunderstandings.
