ERF Compliance Engineer

Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit an ERF Compliance Engineer to join our team. The role can be based at any of our ERF sites; however, candidates must be willing to travel as part of this role.

The Role:

Joining our team, the ERF Compliance Engineer will be responsible for supporting the local Management teams at each ERF to comply with EMIs, LMIs, and statutory regulations such as PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, DSEAR, CDM Regulations, Legionella, Electrical safety and Process Safety.

You will be reporting on the achievement of Compliance and areas for improvement to the ERF Leadership Team and championing that change, whilst significantly driving performance through people and innovation, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment across the ERF Fleet. Duties include:

 *Carrying out planned and unplanned site audits and gap analysis to systematically ensure operational and engineering compliance with all statutory regulations. *Establish and maintain comprehensive prioritised Risk Registers for each ERF and for the ERF business as a whole *Report to the ERF business on compliance in ways that identify improvements achieved and drive improvement using Key Performance Indicators and other measures. *Liaise and coordinate with other Viridor and Pennon functions to ensure efficient and effective Compliance, in particular HSSA and Environment Managers

The ideal ERF Compliance Engineer:

 *Experience managing statutory and legislative compliance requirements *Effective working in matrix management structures *Proven engineering knowledge of ERF or Power Generation *Legislative knowledge of industry regulations (e.g. PSSR, PUWER, LOLER, DSEAR, CDM, & SSoW) *Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental responsibilities to enable individual to promote positive HS&E culture. *Knowledge of compliance standards & systems (ISO 90001, 14001, 18001/45001, 50001 etc.) *IOSH (or equivalent) safety Qualification, or NEBOSH *Possess appropriate Engineering qualifications such as HNC / HND, Mechanical Engineering Degree
