At Viridor, we're investing in state-of-the-art recycling facilities, allowing for a wider range of products to be recycled. Our Materials Recycling Facilities (MRFs) are some of the biggest and most advanced of their kind in Europe. Our MRFs across the UK use a combination of advanced mechanical sorting and manual quality control to separate materials into individual streams, ready to be put back to work. Our investment in technology allows us to operate at the highest quality, environmental, energy efficiency and health and safety standards.

Our MRF in Bargeddie is currently undergoing construction and is central to Scotland's ambition to deliver a zero waste, circular economy which encourages waste reduction, boosts recycling and recovers vital renewable energy from what remains.

As our new Production Shift Supervisor at the new Bargeddie MRF, you'll ensure the fully compliant, safe and efficient day to day operation of the Residual Waste Treatment (RWT) plant under the direction of the Production Manager and maximise the operations of the facility.

You'll also liaise and communicate effectively with the RWT Maintenance Supervisors, and all other relevant departments within Viridor to ensure maintenance priorities and planned maintenance tasks are completed and production targets are achieved.

The Production Shift Supervisor will also be responsible for observing Input material, maintaining and regularly evaluating Throughput, optimising recovery rates and ensuring consistent quality of Outputs.

You will have experience of supervising employees, working knowledge of relevant legislation that relates to the operation of MRF's, ATS and HWRC's, knowledge of health and safety regulation and safe systems of work, plant and machinery relevant to waste recycling and recovery.

The Production Shift Supervisor will have strong communication skills, able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, proven ability to deliver improvements, attention to detail and data analysis experience and cost control.

You will require a full UK driving license and hold a relevant COTC.
