Industrial Electrical Service Engineers wanted for a permanent role maintaining onshore Wind Turbines in in the East Anglia area, specifically in Essex and Suffolk.

The role will involve servicing and maintenance of Tubines in Wind Farms around East Anglia as far north as Lowestoft and south as the Thames.

You will need to live in the area around Chelmsford and Colchester or around Lowestoft as there are service teams in these two areas. The Turbines you will be working on are in this area and there is on call work which is why you will need to live locally.

You will be working at height and so need to be confident in that environment but all appropriate training courses will be given if needed.

This role will primarily require Electrical Engineering skills and experience ideally with heavy industrial equipment. If you have Mechanical experience as well this will be a great asset but it is not required and my client won’t consider candidates who do not have Electrical experience.

Specifically you will need to have experience with 3 phase systems, electrical fault finding and electrical systems maintenance.

If you have worked in the wind industry before this will be an advantage but electrical engineering experience with the armed forces, aviation, heavy plant, factory and manufacturing are all good potential backgrounds for this role.

Candidates who only have domestic and commercial electrician experience will not be considered.

The salary is highly competitive and will be significantly increased by generous on call and overtime bonuses.

There is a fitness test as part of the selection process and a good level of fitness is required in order to pass the health and safety regulations for working at height. You will also need to have a driving licence for this role.

If you would like to find out more about this position and to be considered, please contact Luke Westendarp or Rudy Crane at Cathcart Energy and apply with your latest CV.
