We are now looking for a Director of Innovation and Regulations to shape and define differentiating cost competitive vision of new projects for the business working closely working with the Managing Director. You will drive, lead and manage such projects across the business at pace and with the purpose to increase business efficiency and improved outcomes. This includes establishing the move towards automation and add best in class technologies continuing to transform the Viridor business.

The successful Director of Innovation and Regulations will understand the regulatory framework within which Viridor operates and then advise senior leadership how to operate and achieve compliance within all such regulations; working collaboratively with the senior leadership of both Viridor and Pennon Group to demonstrate clear optionality review and to deliver the strategic change initiatives and objectives of the agreed strategies.

Additionally, you will work closely with the Viridor Leadership Team identifying opportunities for innovation and the use of new technology.

The successful Director of Innovation and Regulations will have:

 *Extensive experience of leading and delivering large scale technological change and the ability to convey a compelling vision of change. *Experience of translating strategy into delivery plans, programmes, people and culture. *5 years of professional experience in innovation, design or business strategy. *Experience of managing projects, project delivery a wide range of programme of works. *Extensive knowledge and experience in operating and delivering high quality service provision as part of a large plc owned subsidiary. *Ability to deliver major technology change projects at pace, through obstacles. *Knowledge of financial reporting, setting KPI's and managing profit and loss accounts. *Proven track record of leading large-scale technological change projects and change initiatives. *Extensive knowledge and experience of securing government funding for technological advancement projects within organisations. *Extensive knowledge of the regulatory frameworks within the Waste and Energy industries operate. *Knowledge of ICT and its interface with modern business. *Knowledge of managing projects and project delivery management. *Degree level of education in a relevant subject. *Full driving licence
