As our new Graduate Commissioning Engineer working within South West Water, you'll assist with the development, construction and commissioning of agreed changes to new and existing operational assets to meet defined outputs in accordance with safety, cost, time and quality targets.

You'll also ensure that projects are delivered according to best practice engineering and project management techniques and standards appropriate to the scale and type of projects and delivered to the identified business benefits and fully compliant with legislative and statutory financial requirements. In this role, you will support and manage the delivery of water and sewerage related schemes.

As our Graduate Commissioning Engineer, you'll have graduated (or will graduate by October 2019) in a relevant engineering discipline and have an awareness of environmental, health and safety and engineering legislation and standards. You'll also have knowledge of CDM regulations.

Experience, whether through academic projects or in the workplace, in delivering projects to specific parameters including cost, quality and time is also key.

You'll be a strong communicator and able to build relationships at all levels both internally and externally. The successful Graduate Commissioning Engineer will have strong organisation and planning skills, able to balance conflicting priorities and work to deadlines, whilst also being able to think innovatively identifying opportunities and risk.

Knowledge or experience of drinking water and waste water industry sector would be advantageous but not essential. Similarly, developing and implementing multiple projects including providing assurance and governance.

You'll gain hands on experience in process, mechanical, electrical, control, automation and civil engineering, developing technical and behavioural skills and qualifications for the future and career development.

There will be some travel involved in this graduate role, therefore a full UK driving license is essential.
