Project Consultant (Energy from Waste Facility)

If you are a qualified engineer, chartered surveyor or project professional with proven experience of leading large-scale projects in the energy sector, then this could be the role for you.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join Grundon as a Project Consultant, either on an employed, contract or consultancy basis, for an initial period of up to 24 months at our existing site in Ford, West Sussex.

The role

Grundon is acknowledged to be at the forefront of waste management practice and innovation. As our Project Consultant your role will be to lead, manage and drive the development of a new Energy from Waste facility.

You’ll manage the entire project from inception - including leading the planning application process - through to fruition and commissioning.

What we are looking for in our Project Consultant

- To be successful in this role, you’re degree (or equivalent) educated and ideally a qualified engineer, chartered surveyor or project professional, with a minimum of 5 years’ proven experience of leading large-scale projects of this nature in the energy sector.  
- You’re a strong project manager with excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- You’re fully conversant with the requirements of the CDM Regulations and have experience of the environmental permitting process.

Flexible appointment basis…

Our Project Consultant role is offered on a flexible appointment basis, including employed, contract or consultancy terms, for an initial period of up to 24 months, with the potential to be extended, and flexibility around days / hours of work (envisaged to be three days per week).
