Our vision is to consistently deliver high quality water at great value with excellent service to our customers, communities, employees and wider stakeholders.  We are looking for an experienced Team Manager to inspire and drive our planning and streetworks department forward.

This role plays an important part in the delivery of our transformation programme geared to process improvements and enhanced ways of working within our planning team. The successful candidate will identify ways to improve the productivity and the standard of customer service delivered by Planning, Leak Administration & Streetworks teams. They will also ensure both SST and CAM regions fulfil the statutory obligation to comply with the New Road and Streetworks Act (NRSWA) and the Traffic Management Act (TMA)

The Team Leader will monitor, audit and report upon the performance of the team in relation to targets and SLAs whilst providing briefings on targets, initiatives and policy changes. Training and coaching will form a large part of the role to increase performance and capability.  

It is essential the successful candidate is confident liaising with stakeholders at all levels and able to act as a subject matter expert in the New Road and Streetworks Act as well as other regulatory requirements. Furthermore, using a range of systems to optimise the way we deliver service, you will deal with customer contacts and a variety of stakeholder enquiries to ensure that we strive to meet our customer’s expectation and comply with internal and external standards.

We are looking for a competent communicator and someone to respond quickly to changing operational circumstances. Experience of team management is essential. Prioritising and organising are key skills required for this challenging role along with an eye for detail. 

Experience of working in a busy planning/scheduling environment would be a distinct advantage. You will also be required to be flexible (early or late starts) and participate in a rota ensuring office cover between 7.00am – 6.00pm
