An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as a Customer Policy Officer for our team based in Exeter.

The Role

The Customer Policy Officer will be responsible for supporting the development of charging policies and strategy, and customer service policies and standards for the organisation. You will work with the business to ensure customer policies are embedded and delivered across the organisation, and to support delivery of the company's vulnerability strategy.

The Customer Policy Officer will be responsible for the review of the Company's customer policies against regulatory outputs, and benchmarking against other WaSCs, WoCs, and general industries, recommending reviews and revisions where necessary.

The Customer Policy Officer will be responsible for managing the annual review of our Codes of Practice and Charges schemes from a customer policy perspective, and working with communications to ensure all published customer policy is up to date.

You will also work with the business to ensure delivery of the Company's vulnerability strategy, including project managing delivery of BSI18477 and accreditation from other organisations such as Action on Hearing Loss, and will be responsible for the day-to-day relationship with the local consumer group that represents the interests of customers.

The Ideal Customer Policy Officer:

 *Educated to degree level standard or equivalent *Proven experience of building relationships with internal / external customers and stakeholders *Ability to work with data and to benchmark policy and performance *Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing skills *Proven experience of project work and working to deadlines, with the ability to manage multiple strands of work at the same time *Influencing skills and the ability to think strategically
