We are seeking Principal level EIA Coordinators/ Environmental Consultants to join our established Environment and Planning Team based in Northern Ireland (Belfast).

Job Responsibilities:

·    The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the Job / Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standard

·       Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary environmental inputs to a wide range of development projects

·       Manage and coordinate preparation of EIA screening and scoping activities, Environmental Statements including the technical review of specialist chapters

·       Liaise with clients and internal supply teams

·       Work in partnership with other members of the Environmental Team (both within Leeds and across the UK), delegating activities to staff as applicable

·       Work with design teams to ensure that environmental considerations are appropriately taken into account

·       Monitor and manage budgets

·       Assist with business development activities and manage preparation of technical proposals

·       Utilizes advanced scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies develop technical solutions to complex problems

·       Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, provincial and national regulations to ensure compliance. Work is performed with minimal direction

·       Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Responsible for advanced duties and activities in their specialized functional area

·       Conducts research and does investigation work as required

·       Plans and organizes project studies

·       Assists in the resolution of conflicting technical information and unsuitability of standard procedures

·       Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems

·       May oversee the work of less experienced scientists
