Shift Supervisor

We now have an excellent opportunity for a Shift Supervisor to join the team at our Skelmersdale Plastics Recycling Facility (PRF), working 48 hours a week.

The Role:

Joining our team, the Shift Supervisor will ensure the safe and efficient day to day operation of the plant under the direction of the Production Manager and maximise the operations of the facility. You will effectively manage the resources within the shift team and ensure that staff are working in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

The Shift Supervisor will take responsibility for observing Input material, maintaining and regularly evaluating throughout, optimising recovery rates and ensuring consistent quality of Outputs. You will liaise with the engineering team on a daily basis to ensure that maintenance priorities and planned maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with the PPM schedule and WorkSmart requirements.

Additionally, you will assist in the facilitation of production meetings with focus on Health and Safety and HomeSafe principles; as well as provide weekly and month end information and key statistical data to the Production Manager.

The ideal Shift Supervisor will have:

 *Experience operating and managing in a production or recycling environment *IOSH Managing Safely *Working knowledge of relevant legislation that relates to the operation of MRF's and PRF'S *Good knowledge of H&S regulation and safe systems of work *Knowledge of fixed and mobile plant and processing machinery relevant to waste recycling and recovery *Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with other staff, customers, regulators and the general public *Full current UK driving licence
