Our aim is for over 90% of the Square Mile to meet the health-based limits for nitrogen dioxide by the beginning of 2025. We are also working with the Mayor of London to meet World Health Organisation Guidelines for particulate matter by 2030.

Your expertise will be in demand at environmental services and planning meetings and to help carry out enforcement actions.

About you

This role would suit a graduate with a degree or postgraduate qualification in environmental science or a related discipline and experience of working in air quality. You’ll be used to keeping up to date with legislative changes, particularly as they apply to local authorities in London, and will have an awareness of the political dimension of air quality control.
