As our Electrical Maintenance Technician at the new Bargeddie MRF, you'll be responsible for delivering all aspects and disciplines of the Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules as defined by the site maintenance plans, working to a high standard and in a cost-effective manner.

You'll also be responsible for planning, organising and undertaking corrective and reactive work whilst also being responsible for delivering improvement projects to increase plant reliability and cost reduction. Undertaking assessments of malfunctioning equipment and providing advice to the site management team to assist and influence decision making will be part of this role.  You will also contribute to problem solving workshops, providing engineering expertise to identify root causes of failures and subsequent improvement actions.

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will have good communication skills, a broad understanding of Maintenance and Engineering with the ability to think logically and decisively in order to provide effective engineering management solutions. Working as part of the Maintenance Team, you will build good relationships with colleagues but also be able to work on your own initiative when required.

Candidates for this role will have previous experience of working within a processing, manufacturing, energy or recycling environment, having completed an Apprenticeship in an electrical discipline and successfully gained the following qualifications as a minimum:

 *NVQ/SVQ Level 3 / Recognised Apprenticeship in an Electrical Discipline.

Desired Qualifications:

 *HNC in Electrical Engineering *City & Guilds 2382-15 (17th/18th Addition, IEE wiring regulations).

Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and their impacts, along with a good understanding of proactive maintenance strategies and safe systems of work is required for this role. The ability to update and administer Computerised Maintenance Management Systems, their purpose and functions will also be required.

This position is for 4 days on 4 days off 12-hour shift pattern. However, initially, the working hours for this role will be fairly dynamic – typically covering 6am – 3pm one week and 3pm to 11pm the following week, Monday to Friday. We anticipate that the commissioning phase of our new plant will finish in December and the shift will then change to a 4 on 4 off dayshift pattern.

You will require a full UK driving licence.
