Our client is seeking experienced Solar PV Construction Project Managers (PM) to join its Construction Team to manage a large pipeline of UK projects.

The Construction Project Manager is based on site, and works alongside the Project Director (PD), Site Engineers, Engineering and Construction Teams, as well as with Subcontractors, Equipment Suppliers and the Client.

Using your 5-7 years’ experience in the construction of large-scale ground mounted solar plants (20MW+) and knowledge of UK National Electrical Code and solar permitting. You will manage project from start to finish on-time and within the planned scope and budget.

You will carry out pre-condition site visits & surveys to establish site/local conditions, review all Client information, in conjunction with the Engineering Team, to inform the plant design and construction budget.

Assist the PD with preparation and execution of supplier and subcontractor contracts, contract negotiations, change orders, and other agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.

You will develop a detailed schedule of works (SoW) to monitor progress and milestones. Manage and supervise day-to-day activities of the Site Engineers and subcontractors ensuring that national HSE and Company quality standards (QAQC) are met.

Take preventative measures to avoid risks to the project schedule and budget and report any deviations from the schedule, budget or scope to the PD.

Using your excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, you will complete daily, weekly and monthly progress reports with the Site Engineers for delivery to the Client and internal teams.

Assist the PD managing relationships with the Client, ICP and developer to ensure smooth running of the project connection, permitting, and other regulatory compliance issues.
