My client is involved in some of the UK’s most significant and exciting development projects, ranging from nationally significant transport and energy infrastructure, through to new settlements, urban regeneration and the design of internationally recognised public spaces.

Due to continual demand for their services from a range of key clients, they are looking for someone with a special blend of skills to join their established team of motivated staff.

My client is looking for someone with an excellent understanding of EIA requirements, with experience as an EIA Co-ordinator and a good awareness of the planning process.  You will also be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues, co-consultants and clients.  It is advantageous to have project management skills too.

In this exciting role you will be well supported in the development of both your technical and professional skills.

You will provide input into and author reports at all stages of the EIA process, from EIA screening through to the preparation of Environmental Statements, as well as post submission material.  There will also be opportunities to provide environmental leadership alongside my client’s master planners and planners.

You’ll have a passion for context-led design and will be expected to apply your understanding of a range of social and environmental drivers to achieving well planned and designed developments at all scales.

Ideally, you will have upwards of 2 years’ experience of working in a consultancy, but more junior candidates are welcomed if you can demonstrate you have relevant professional experience and skills.

You will need to:

·         Have experience of coordinating and managing EIA projects

·         Have experience of working with clients and as part of multidisciplinary teams

·         Have experience of managing sub-consultants

·         Be able to use GIS, graphics software and/or AutoCAD (experience of using this software is desirable)

This is a full-time post, however, should you be looking for flexible working my client is able to offer this to suit your personal needs.
