nextgen
nextgen, the UK’s fastest growing event showcasing emerging renewable energy technologies, will be held at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. Besides hosting a major international exhibition to allow industry professionals to network, learn about the latest innovations and generate leads, nextgen features a multi-stream conference delivering educative presentations and topical panel discussions, which will take place in six seminar theatres. There will be sessions on topics including the RHI phase 2, the Green Deal, the Green Investment Bank, integrating renewables into buildings and the latest technology advances.
Following a successful debut in 2011, nextgen also encompasses ebec, the UK’s largest bioenergy show, and microgen, a show serving small-scale (sub-50kW) power producers. With the trio of events combined at one location, nextgen makes it easier for visitors to retrieve relevant information and to establish business connections. Installers, engineers and renewable energy producers, will mingle alongside managers in the public sector dealing with energy efficiency, or supervisors managing food processing and waste. Last year, the shows attracted over 3,000 visitors and 300 exhibitors.
The organisers of nextgen have planned extra features to add further appeal to the event including Dragons’ Den. Entrepreneurs and inventors looking for funding will pitch their ideas for the first time in public to a panel of industry experts comprised of energy specialists, engineers, investors and lawyers.
Supported exclusively by the industry’s leading trade associations – the Renewable Energy Association (REA), the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), the Micropower Council and the Solar Trade Association, nextgen allows visitors to take advantage of independent expertise, pioneering case studies and insiders’ briefings on subjects as diverse as tariffs and subsidies to payback models and smart metering.
