Waste'15

Countdown to WASTE’15!

Thursday 2nd July 2015 – stick it in your diary.

That’s the date for WASTE’15, the Waste and Skip Trade Exhibition brought to you by the team behind Skip Hire Magazine.

The show is free to attend, and you can register your place here: http://wastexpo.co.uk/visitors

Last year’s show – WASTE’14 - was a hands-down success with exhibitors kept busy with enquiries and visitors from all over the globe descending on our site in Manchester.

It will take place at the same location as last year’s show at the AJ Bell Stadium. This year’s show is making the move to be an all-external exhibition with an enormous area taking up the entire side of the stadium.

Show organiser, Debbie Higham, is excited by the prospect of building on the success of last year’s WASTE’14:

“We won’t be able to control the elements – we’re set in the north west after all! However, we’ll make sure that the show is as weather-proof as possible, making sure our visitors and exhibitors are kept as happy as possible throughout their entire time at WASTE’15.

“Last year’s show was the first show we had ever organised, and as much as we, the exhibitors and visitors loved every minute, we’re determined to make this year’s show bigger and better.

“For starters, we have a much bigger, all-inclusive area which will hold more stands in one place. So there will be no fragmentation, all visitors will be able to freely move around the show.”

The show is boasting big names from all areas of the waste industry including manufacturing, services, recycling and waste management.

Last year, we welcomed visitors from waste, skip hire, recycling, scrap metal, engineering and demolition. There was a great representation from the local authorities around the region – something we are developing more this year.

As well as receiving rave reviews from companies who travelled far and wide to see the show, we were particularly pleased to have the chance to host the HMRC. They took the opportunity to have a face to face discussion with waste management and skip hire companies regarding the trommel fines situation.

Speakers for WASTE’15 are getting booked over the next few months, with a definitive list being published as soon as it is ready.

The quarterly Transport Managers Meeting will be taking place at WASTE’15 in the morning. This meeting will involve fifteen local authorities from south Lakeland in Cumbria down to Newcastle-upon-Lyme in Staffordshire.

Not only will exhibitors be able to enjoy an equal distribution of visitors, they will also be invited to a good old fashioned hoe-down after set-up the evening before the show. The organisers are welcoming all exhibitors to come along to the summer pre-show reception, where we will be putting on a barbecue, a live band and an outside bar. Guests will be free to lounge on hay bales, relax and take in the atmosphere of music, food and drink - the perfect antidote to a day’s travel and toil.

WASTE’15 is sponsored by Hadfield Wood Recyclers, the wood recycling giants based in Manchester. Vicki Hughes, Group Business Development Director at Hadfields commented:

"We are delighted to be the headline sponsor for WASTE’15 for the second year running and are looking forward to meeting existing and new customers at this year’s event. WASTE’14 proved to be a great environment for us to meet people who needed a solution to their waste wood disposal issues and we were able to talk to them about how Hadfield Wood Recyclers can help them dispose of waste wood in a cost effective and environmentally-friendly manner.”

Stocks Sweepers are lanyard sponsors for the second year running. Jez Ramsdale from the company is excited to support the show for another year:

“Having acted as the lanyard sponsor for WASTE’14, we quickly learned what a valuable marketing tool it was to be part of this show. We’re proud to have supported WASTE since the beginning and the whole company is looking forward to being part of this year’s event, we have already booked our stand as well as sponsoring this year’s show.”

This year, the seminar sponsor is Pakawaste, the waste handling equipment experts. WASTE’15 is also pleased to announce HUB4 Magazine, Baughans Trader, Tip-Ex’15 and Waste Jobs as media partners.
